Man shot multiple times

A 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital late Saturday evening after being shot multiple times at an Albany apartment.

Albany police have released few details about the incident, including the victim’s name.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of 15th Avenue S.E.

Police at the scene said that they were told the victim had been shot four or five times. They also said that the man was conscious when taken to the hospital.

There were several people at the apartment at the time of the shooting and there was at least one shooter who had left the home.

Investigators working Sunday said that the shooting was not random. No one had been arrested.

See Monday’s Democrat-Herald for more details.
