The criminal sentence given to Shawn Field for the murder of Karly Sheehan was inaccurately reported in Tuesday’s newspaper. Field received a life sentence with the possibility of parole. He will be eligible for parole after 46 years and five months in prison.

The Gazette-Times regrets the error.
