Monday, May 5

Marijuana possession: 3:40 p.m., Highway 20 at milepost 47, Philomath. A deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The deputy reportedly received consent from the driver to search the vehicle. Less than an ounce of marijuana was found and the driver was cited. No information about why the deputy wanted to search the vehicle was listed.

Methamphetamine possession: 7:59 p.m., 100 block Northwest Fourth Street, Corvallis. A driver was stopped by police and arrested on outstanding warrants. The woman also was found to be in possession of more than seven grams of methamphetamine, $1,038 in cash and a small knife. She was booked at the Benton County Jail on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and carrying a concealed weapon.

Criminal mischief: 9:12 p.m., 2300 block Crystal Lake Drive, Corvallis. A homeowner reported that the screen on her bedroom window had been ripped.

Tuesday, May 6

Criminal mischief: 1:51 a.m., 200 block Northwest 15th Street, Corvallis. A resident reported that a window to their home had been destroyed. The man said it was the second time in two weeks that his windows had been damaged.

Theft: 4:28 p.m., 400 block Southwest Third Street, Corvallis. A grocery store employee reported that he and the manager had detained a man for shoplifting. An officer responded and the store personnel said the man had been given a trespass notice from the store one month ago. He reportedly returned to the store Tuesday, hid a bottle of wine and some sliced turkey under his jacket and made for the door.

Marijuana possession: 8:42 p.m., Southwest Allen Street and Avery Avenue, Corvallis. A man was pulled over by a deputy for running a stop light. His license was suspended, and he was arrested. The deputy found 1.64 grams of marijuana in his coat pocket. The man was transported to the Benton County Jail.

Warrant arrest: 10:44 p.m., 100 block Southwest Cummings Avenue, Corvallis. A deputy went to a residence to arrest a man with an outstanding warrant for methamphetamine possession. The arrested man was transported to the Benton County Jail.
