LBCC hosts WMD awareness class

LEBANON — The Training and Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College will host a Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness-level Training course Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

The course was developed by the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium, and provides emergency responders with instruction on recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notification about weapons of mass destruction.

This free course is geared towards people or groups involved in law enforcement, emergency services, emergency management, fire safety, public works, public safety, health care, and governmental administration and covers topics in prevention and deterrence of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive hazards.
