Registration open at OSU KidSpirit

Registration is now available for the winter-term programs of Oregon State University KidSpirit, a year-round recreation program for youth age 2 to 18 years old.

KidSpirit offers weekly classes in swimming, gymnastics, tennis and rock climbing. The focus of the recreation classes includes age-appropriate activities, building skills and social development. Most of the classes run on a nine-week schedule and classes begin Jan. 17.

KidSpirit also offers Parent’s Night Out on Saturdays. It is designed to give parents a night to themselves, while their child is involved in gym games, gymnastics, swimming, arts and crafts, drama, and other activities. The cost is $20 per child, and it runs from 5 to 10 p.m. (Children age 3 and over must be potty trained.)

Activities at Camp create Excitement on no-School days (ACES), runs in conjunction with the Corvallis and Albany no-school days throughout the school year. Kids can sign up to attend ACES and be involved in a full or half day of athletic, artistic and educational activities. Early morning and late afternoon care is available. Dates include Feb. 2-3 and April 17-18.

For more information, including additional offerings, see kidspirit.oregonstate.edu, or call 737-KIDS (5437).
