Auditions for stupid pet, human tricks

PORTLAND n The "Late Show with David Letterman" is seeking participants for upcoming "Stupid Pet Tricks" and "Stupid Human Tricks" segments.

Auditions will take place at the Lloyd Center Mall starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Those selected will be flown to New York City to perform.

Animals must perform voluntarily and be treated humanely. All types of animals are welcome.

Past pet tricks have included a horse that fetches and drinks a bottle of water from a refrigerator, a dog that catches rings around its neck and a football between its paws while sitting upright, and a cat that says, "yum, yum."

Past human tricks have included a kid jumping rope while on a pogo stick, a man blowing a smoke-filled soap bubble out his ear, and a woman bulging out her eyes.
